Even with capabilities where they are today, there's a lot to rebuild. My focus is not on ML per se, but the new breed of AI Engineering. Give us our "Cursor for X" for everything.

There are challenges around bootstrapping data for evals, observability, data controls, auth/z, and immature frameworks. To start, we've built a vertical SaaS chassis in Ruby for agentic apps.

On top of executing on projects, we all have to continually challenge ourselves to transcend our own workflows. This was especially clear in early-mid 2025 with Claude Code, Codex, etc. and scrambling to project manage async agents.

Elbow grease and dirt under the fingernails are required to get value out of this stuff—let's take that trip.
